Donna Salazar Obituary

Donna Marie Salazar, 78, passed away peacefully April 5, 2018. She was born March 3, 1940 in Mesa County, Oklahoma to the union Fred and Betty (Swift) Dubois both precede her death along with her husband James Salazar, her daughter, Linda, the father of her children Lee Lucero, her siblings: Jim Dubois, Diane Hardcastle, Laura Bragg, Sylvia Futrell, Opal Landwehr; 2 twin infant grandsons. Donna was an excellent cook, she made the best homemade pies, and Pineapple upside down cake. She enjoyed canning, pickles, tomatoes, chili, and other vegetables. But most of all, Donna loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who could do no wrong, she instilled the importance of education and respect to them. Donna was an excellent mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Donna is survived by her children: Betty (Dave) Trujillo, Victor “Lee” (Beth) Lucero, Donna (Dave) Lucero, Rita (Lonnie) Esquibel, Bridget Gonzales, and Jimmy (Gina) Salazar; Siblings: Viola Wion and Violet McBroom, 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 1 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who loved and will miss Donna. Visitation Tuesday noon until 5p.m. Funeral service 10a.m. Wednesday, both at Angelus Chapel Pastor Dr. Carl Wright and Rev. Linda Carter officiating, Interment Roselawn Cemetery.
