Isabel Kathern Neveaux, age 79, passed away on Feb. 7, 2018, at her eldest daughter's home in Las Cruces, N.M. She was born on Nov. 3, 1938, in Pueblo, Colo., to her wonderful parents, Marcos Velasquez and Felicitas (Roque) Velasquez; both preceded her in death; along with her beloved son, Glen Mark Neveaux; and granddaughter, Annamarie Xochitl Velasquez. Isabel worked at and retired from Orange Coast College, located in Costa Mesa, Calif. After retiring, she and her husband of 53 years, Roger Curtis Neveaux, relocated to Henderson, Nev., where she was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Isabel's greatest joy was spending time with her children, Pattijo Neveaux Velasquez (David) and Lisa Danielle Neveaux (Christopher Wiseman); her grandchildren, Xoli Velasquez, Vivian Rose Neveaux-Perkins, Dylan Michael Neveaux-Perkins, Caleb Daniel Neveaux-Perkins, Grace Isabella Neveaux-Perkins, Reinaldo Ramos; and great-grandchildren, Mia Yaretzi Ramos and Sofia-Rae Citlali Ramos. She also enjoyed dancing, baking, sewing, crafts and decorating. Isabel was one of 14 children, preceded in death by her brother, Gabriel; and sisters, Angelina and Esther. Her memory will be celebrated and cherished by friends and family including her siblings, Dolores, Mark, Nick, Jennifer, Joe, Inez and Peter. Rosary, 7 p.m. Friday; Funeral Mass, 2 p.m. Saturday, both services at Mount Carmel Church, 421 Clark St. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery.
