John Smith Jr Obituary

John Smith Jr., 86, passed away April 8, 2018, in Pueblo, Colo. He was born Oct. 7, 1931, in Arkansas City, Kan., to John and Bessie Smith, who preceded him in death, along with siblings, Marie Kirkland, Pauline Humphrey and Robert Smith. He served in the U.S. Air Force for five years with a rank of sergeant. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trips to Cripple Creek. Most of all, he enjoyed his time with family. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 64 years, Nona Vee (Judie) Smith; children, Lorenzo Smith of El Mirage, AZ., Norma Smith of Atlanta, GA., Della Smith Jennings and Matthew Smith of Aurora, CO.; sister, Rosie Cherry of Montgomery Village, MD.; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Saturday, Angelus Chapel. Military honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.
