Marie Sandoval

Marie D. Sandoval, 91, joined her fellow angels on March 10, 2018. She was born Jan. 31, 1927, to proud parents, Leon and Luciana Baeza Santos; both preceded her in death; along with her husband, Ben J. Sandoval; her siblings, Leonard Santos and Esperanza Morales; her sons, Ben "Paco" Sandoval and Robert Sandoval. Marie enjoyed being with her family and she loved that she was the matriarch of five generations. She was an excellent cook, especially her chicken mole. Marie always instilled the importance of education, hard work and faith to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting with the neighbors, sharing stories and passing down the family recipes. Marie is survived by her children, Elizabeth Suarez, Guadalupe M. Wyman, Sylvia Castruita and Charles Sandoval; siblings, John (Alva) Santos, Lydia (Gilbert) Sedillo and Sally Donovan; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grand-children; special goddaughter, Cindy Pinales; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Rosary, 10 a.m. today, with Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., both services St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Interment, Mountain View Cemetery.
