Mary Irene Aguero

Mary Irene Aguero, 87, passed away March 4, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 17, 1930 in Aguilar, CO to the union of Dionisio and Christina Castro they precede her in death along with husband, Ignacio "Nash" Aguero, children, Kathy Aguero, Shirley Aguero, and Connie Aguero; brothers, Salomon Castro and Thomas Castro; son-in-law Art Luna.  Spending quality time with her family was very important to her. She had a strong faith and instilled that into her children. She enjoyed dancing and was an excellent cook, you never left her home hungry. She was very proud to be SRDA "Queen for the Day", where she worked. She was known as "Grandma Mary" by all the chiildren. She leaves to cherish her memory; children, Susan Pacheco (Robert),  Joe Aguero, Foster Aguero (Ruth), Michael Aguero (Tillie), Grace Aguero (Jess), Nancy Aguero, Ricky Aguero (Sharon),  Alex Aguero, Danny Aguero, sisters, Vida Fuentes and Monica Castro; bother, Joe Castro, 28 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends who loved and will miss Mary dearly. Memorial Mass, Thursday 2 p.m., Cathedral of Sacred Heart.
