Nick Terronez, 81 passed away peacefully on Friday, March 30, 2018, at his home in Citrus Heights. He was born August 13, 1936, in Pueblo Colorado. He was a 1954 graduate of Pueblo Catholic High School. He married Nellie (Rodriguez) Terronez, February 14, 1970. From April 4, 1955 to April 2, 1993 he worked as a Department of Defense civilian employee, eventually retiring as a computer programmer/analyst. During that time, from 1960 to 1966, he was enlisted in the Army National Guard. Nick was predeceased by his mother Frances Avalos and his father Hermenegildo Terronez. He is survived by his beloved and cherished wife of 48 years Nellie; his children, Kristine and Michael Terronez; his grandchildren, Hunter and Kylie Terronez; and his brother, Richard Avalos. Nick was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved gardening, loved to travel, and enjoyed watching and attending sporting events. He was a spiritual man and was involved in the Mercy San Juan Guild where he assisted in providing assistance to patients throughout the hospital. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Mass of Christian burial to be held April 14 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1145 S. Aspen Rd. Pueblo, CO 81006.
