Flora Ann DeTello, 94, passed away March 17, 2024. She was born May 13, 1929 in New Mexico to parents, Fidencio and Floripa Baca, both precede her in death along with her husband, Emilio DeTello.
Flora was an avid cook, she always had food to feed everyone. Oh and Sunday dinner was the best. She loved dancing and singing with the family. She was very active in her early years, she taught catechism at St. Anne’s Church, was a past president of The Alter Rosary Society, member of the Eagles and a member of the G.I. Forum. Flora was the matriarch of 4 generations, she loved sharing her life lessons, words of wisdom and her unconditional love with each of them. Flora along with her husband, Emilio was the Den mother and Cub leader for the Cub Scouts. She loved to volunteer her time to her family. She truly exemplified a mother, grandma, and a true lady.
Flora is survived by her children, Betty (Larry) Martinez, Barbara Piazza, Theodore (Anita) DeTello, Frances (Sid) Gable and Ray (Florie) DeTello; brother, Margarito (Lorraine) Baca; sister, Audilia Lovato; grandchildren, Michelle (Tim) Gold, Raymond (Taylor) DeTello, Joseph (Cameron) DeTello, Jamie Vigil, Corey Vigil, Renee Martinez, Matthew (Lillian) Martinez, Isabella (Moshe) Goldman, Luchiana DeTello, Gianna DeTello, Italia DeTello, Gabriella DeTello, and Felicity (Hunter) Hayes; great grandchildren, Isaiah Piazza, Larissa Gold, Delicia Gold, Enzo DeTello, Niko DeTello and Ezra Goldman.
