Aurora Alvarez

Aurora Alvarez, 92, passed away March 20, 2019 a lifetime Puebloan. She was born August 24, 1926 to proud parents Jesus and Roberta (Sanchez) Elizando both preceded her in death, along with husband ,Val Alvarez. Aurora enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and crocheting. She was a member of the Altar Society, she had a very strong faith, always praying the rosary and attending mass regularly. Aurora was beautician, but fondly was an amazing homemaker who had so much love and wisdom to share with her five generations. She is survived by her children, Mary Ellen (Bob) Portillos and Lorraine Minjarez; four grandchildren, Kathy, Kenny, John and Esia; 11 great grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Sal (Vivian) Elizando, Virginia Sena and Tony (Mary) Elizando; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial Mass 11 a.m Friday St. Francis Xavier Church.
