Don "Plez" Pleasant, 72, was called home on December 11, 2018. He was born on November 13, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky to the the union of Kermit and Rose (Dunn) Pleasant both precede him in death, along with his brother, James Pleasant; father in-law and mother-in-law , Floyd and Rosella Levene. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Peggy; children Alease and Donnie (Katrina); grandchildren; Daylen, Jaryn, Nevaeh; siblings, Kermit and Lolitha; aunt, Georgia Dunn, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Don served in the U.S. Army, worked for the CF&I, and Sheriff's Department. He retired from the Department of Corrections with 20 years of service. Don loved sports, he attended all the high school and college games. He enjoyed the dinners and comradery at St. Mary's Catholic Church, where he was a member. Don was a history buff, and enjoyed to read. He was a regular at the library and Barnes and Noble. His 4 legged buddy, Cheyenne, was always by his side. Don was true family man, with so much love for his wife, children, and grandchildren. Family time was so important to him. His kindness and great sense of humor will be missed by all. Rosary at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018 followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Burial will be 1 p.m.Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
