Eddie F. Vigil, 89, passed away Feb. 4, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born Dec. 6, 1928 in Redwing, CO to Edward and Savina Vigil who precede him in death along with son, Melvin Vigil; grandson, Justin Vigil; brother, Don Vigil; special sister and brother in law, Erla and Vic Martinez. He worked 35 years for the Pueblo Army Depot, receiving various awards and commendations. He was an active member of St. Francis Parish, Cursillo in Christianity, American GI Forum and Boy Scouts. He enjoyed camping, music, dancing, traveling, watching the Denver Broncos, visiting with friends and relatives, telling stories, feeding the squirrels, going to rodeos, and eating out at the Mill Stop. He was a supporter of the Pueblo Rangers Soccer League and Fr. Powers Basketball League. Most of all he loved his time spent with family. Eddie leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 69 years, Mary (Rael) Vigil; children, Judi Leffler, Phil (Margaret) Vigil, Rena Vigil, Jim (Terry) Vigil, Nancy Vigil, and Gilbert (Tracy) Vigil; siblings, Wilfred Vigil, Betty Ulibarri, Sue Fernandez, and Millie Smith; 7 grandchildren, Randy Vallejos, Janine Rodriguez, Eddie Vigil, Michael Vigil, Jimmy Vigil, Jamie Vigil, and Kristy Hall ; 11 great-grandchildren; special cousin Joe Vigil host of other relatives and friends.
