Evelyn Rodriguez

Evelyn Rodriguez, 88, passed away May 29, 2019. She was born March 17, 1931 in Walsenburg, Colorado to proud parents Mauricio and Dora (Duran) Romero both preceded her in death along with, siblings, Dimas Romero, Ermy Romero, Annie Berumen; daughters, Christina, Julie and Irene. A Fowler resident for over 80 years. Evelyn was a member of Mary Queen of Heaven Parish for many years. She enjoyed writing poetry, drawing, embroidering, crocheting, knitting and cooking, you never left her home without eating. But most important to her was her husband and children who she loved very much. Evelyn is survived by her loving husband, Tomas Rodriguez; her children, Darlene (Steve) Plumley, Theresa (Mike) Sadler, Lorraine Flores, Larry (Wanda) Hernandez, Val (Jim) Gager, Phil Hernandez and Tommy (Tracy) Rodriguez; sister, Rosella Ybarra; 32 grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends who will miss her dearly. Rosary Tuesday June 4, 2019 10 am with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. Mary Queen of Heaven, Fowler, Colorado.
