Flora Gallegos

Flora Gallegos, 80, passed away April 17, 2019. She was born November 24, 1938 to Jose and Casimira (Baca) Cordova both preceded her in death, along with husband, Manuel Gallegos; son, Robert Gallegos; brothers, Juan, Leroy, Albert; her brother, Mauricio Cordova who passed away one day after her on April 18, 2019. Flora lived for her grandchildren and giving to the unfortunate. She was a true educator for 28 plus years; teaching at Headstart in Pueblo, also in Questa and Taos, New Mexico. Flora was very devoted and strong in her faith. She loved to cook, she made sure you never left her home without eating. She is survived by her daughter, Denise (Macario) Torrez; sisters, Clara (Carmel) Deherrera, Frances (Arthur) Alires and Margarita Garcia; sister in laws, Lorraine, Lucy and Irene Cordova; her 7 grandchildren, Robert, Angelo, Taciana, Monique, Vanessa, Alex and Macario; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will dearly miss her. Rosary 6pm Monday April 22, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pueblo, Colorado. Rosary 9 am Friday April 26, 2019 with Funeral Mass to follow at 10 am both at Holy Trinity Church in Arroyo Seco, New Mexico. 498 NM-150, Arroyo Seco, NM 87514. Fr. Angelo Marquez, Celebrant.
