Frank J. “Fuzzy” Perez, 80, passed away March 4, 2019, after a brief illness. He was born October 9, 1938, to Florentino and Mary (Urioste) Perez in Pueblo, Co. Frank attended Central High School and was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and the Colorado Army National Guard. He worked for the federal government at the Pueblo Army Depot and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1996. After retirement, Frank enjoyed working as a security officer at Pikes Peak International Raceway and St. Mary-Corwin Hospital.
Frank was very devoted to his Catholic faith and was an active member of St. Joseph Parish, the Perpetual Adoration Adorers, the Nocturnal Adoration, several Bible study groups and was a Fourth Degree in the Knights of Columbus Council. He served on the Pueblo Government Agency Federal Credit Union board of directors and the supervisory committee and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles FOE 145. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, his two favorite rides were the Red River Run and the Pueblo Toy Run; traveling, fishing, spending time with his family, holidays, birthdays and socializing.
He loved his walks around with Riverwalk with his great-grandson, Gabriel; eating at the Pantry; getting treats from Taffy’s, going to Cripple Creek, church festivals and reminiscing on his days in the Navy.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles; infant sister, grandmother Casiana Urioste, grandparents, Angel and Vicente Perez and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his children Frank (Leigh Ann) Perez, Gayle (Ricky) Perez, Diana Perez and Greg Perez; former spouse, Lorene Perez; sister, Margaret Abeyta; Grandchildren, Andrea (Jose), Linda (Paul), Amy (Chris), Angela, Sam (Carly), Christopher, Megan, Emily, Dylan, Richie, Alex and Timothy; 10 great-grandchildren, his “best friend” Gabriel, Lily, Felix, Harper, Journey, JoJo, Bodhi, Parker, Mason and Grayson; numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
