Gwendolyn Joy (Pittsinger) Kintner, 68, of Blende, Colorado passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Dec. 16, 2018. She was born to the late Richard Pittsinger and Joy Lou Young, Dec. 5, 1950, in Germany. Gwen graduated from Steinert High School in 1969 and became an LPN after moving to Colorado from New Jersey in 1969 and later became a Medical Assistant for various doctors in Evergreen, Colorado. She married Dean Kintner in 1972, and they lived together in Evergreen, Colorado for thirty-one years before relocating to Pueblo, Co. Gwen is survived by two loving sons; Jay (Kelly) Kintner, of Pueblo and James (Rae-Anna) Kintner of Pueblo. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Joshua, Noah, James and Lilly Kintner; sisters, Margo (Dan) Rapp, Rene Hutton, and Marilou Roberts; mother, Joy Young; sister-in-laws, Bonnie (Scott) Lumpkin, Laura (Paul) Lloyd; brother-in-law, James (Mikki) Kintner. She is preceded in death by brother, John Lee Carpenter and father, Richard Pittsinger.
Although Gwen spent several years as an LPN and Medical Assistant, her real passion was being active in her church leading "puppet missions". She loved spending time with her four grandchildren and was a constant, loving influence in their lives. She passes her feisty spirit and independent nature to her two sons. To her husband of 46 years, Gwen leaves many ornery and unforgettable memories of life well-lived together. Gwen was always there for her family, which we felt through her quiet commitment and thought gifts.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday January 12, 2019 1 p.m, Mesa Christian Fellowship 28726 US-50 BUS, Pueblo, CO 81006. Pastor Cannon, Officiating
