Jennie Armijo Baca, 78, passed away Feb. 10, 2019. She was born Nov. 24, 1940 in Avondale, CO to Oscar and Catalina (Villegas) Armijo who precede her in death along with sisters, Linda and Virginia. Jennie retired as a home healthcare provider. She loved people. She was very genuine, caring, and compassionate. Jennie had a witty sense of humor, everyone loved her. She had a great sense of style, she was intrigued with the Japanese culture and art. Jennie was very crafty. She was excellent at home décor. She always welcomed everyone into her home, where she loved to cook and bake for family and friends. She cherished most, her times spent with her family. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 63 years, Armando “Sunny' Baca; children; Debra (Arthur) Macias, Veronica (Dave) Garnsey, Mark (Marie) Baca, Regina (Mike) Garcia, JoDeen (Randy) Hinsz; siblings, Charlotte Cordova and JoAnn (Victor) Solano; grandchildren, Trisha Macias, Naomi Hernandez, Michelle Padilla, Audrey Macias, Dante Baca, Dominc Baca, Monique Garcia, and Mikali Garcia; great-grandchildren, Rebekah Hernandez, Josiah Hernandez, Donovan Esquibel, Brennan Esquibel, Reyes Padilla, and Evia Padilla; numerous other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. A special thank you to her hospice care team; nurse, Naomi Hernandez; nurse, Argelia Archuletta, nurse, Melissa Romero; cna, Michelle Rivera; cna, Connie Jacques. Rosary Saturday Feb. 16, 2019 at 10 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m., both at Sacred Heart Church of Avondale. Interment St. Vrain Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church hall following the burial rites.
