John Ralph Vialpando, 85, passed away on May 13, 2018. He was affectionately known as “Juan” to his family and friends he was born on December 8, 1932 in Trinidad Colorado, to proud parents Floyd and Carmen Vialpando both preceded him in death along with his stepmother Martha Vialpando, in laws Raymond and Beatrice Lopez, son Patrick Vialpando; brother Gilbert Vialpando, grandson Marty Ayala, great granddaughter Alainy Shumard, nephew Sonny Martinez. Juan served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, he received several medals. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, long rides with his wife, going to bingo, listening to Spanish music, but most of all he loved spending quality time with his family who he cherished. Juan retired from ABC Rail with 30 years of service and 10 years of service with Pueblo Housing Authority. Juan retired at the age of 82, he had a strong work ethic which is instilled into his children and grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 52 years Adeline Vialpando, his children: Johnny Vialpando, Cindy Ayala Cooper (Mark), Loretta Vialpando, Ernie Vialpando, Jeanette Vialpando Romero (Matt), grandsons who he raised as his sons. Justin and Ryan Vialpando (Danette). 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Martinez, Tina Padilla (Art) and Floyd Vialpando (Maryellen), 1 brother-in law Don Cordova (Norma), several nieces and nephews to include Veronica Cordova. Memorial Mass, 10 am, Friday, St. Joseph Church. Military honors Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.
