John D Valdez Sr

John D Valdez Sr., 74, passed away April. 25, 2019 in Pueblo, CO. He was born March 24, 1945 in Springer, NM to Sam and Viola (Maestas) Valdez who precede him in death along with 3 sisters and one brother. He retired from CSU Pueblo with 32 years of service. He enjoyed singing, playing his guitar, and collecting ceramic frogs. He was an avid Broncos and Rockies fan and loved going to Cripple Creek. Most of all he cherished his time spent with his family. He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife of 56 years, Corina Valdez; children, John Jr. (Gracie) Valdez, Karl Valdez, Clyde (Maria) Valdez, Jozette (Donald) Hemphill, Josh (Jenell) Valdez; sisters, Dorothy (Juan) Mendoza, Agnes LaCrue, Deanna (Manuel) Lopez; 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; his beloved dog “Chica”; numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
