John Dan Aragon, 69, an Avondale resident, passed away Oct 13, 2018. He was born Jan 18, 1949 in Las Vegas, NM to Arsenio and Juanita Aragon who precede him in death. He served in the United State Army for 3 years. He was the Director of Chemical Operations. Dan was the founder and president of the Avondale, Boone, and Pueblo County Veterans Foundation, and worked hard to see the organization prosper. In his time of leisure, he enjoyed playing guitar and singing. He loved family gatherings. His wife, sons, sister, and grandchildren where his number on reason to live, he loved and adored them. Dan leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 49 years, Dianna Sena Aragon; sons, Daniel Arsenio Aragon and Daryl Victor Aragon; sister, Irene Aragon; grandchildren, Savannah, Gabrielle (Isaac), Daniel, Cruzito (Dariann), Adriana, and Patricia; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Shayna, Kiana, Andrew, Ariah, Jayda, and Noah; in laws; Victor (Roseann) Sena, Paul (Joann) Sena, Samuel Sena, Lynda (Rory) Kouba, Yolanda (Dennis) Gonzales, Corrinne Natividad and Eileen (Phil) Loughnane; numerous other relatives and friends, and the Avondale community. Visitation Friday 9:00 a.m until 3:00 p.m, Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Saturday, Sacred Heart of Avondale. Interment, St. Vrain Cemetery. Motorcade leaving Angelus 9:30 a.m to Avondale.
