Kenny Jay Wadley

Kenny Jay Wadley, affectionately known as “Ken”, went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2019.

He was born in Guymon, OK in 1954 to Janet and Jay Wadley.

He moved to Walsenburg, CO in 1974 where he worked with his Grandfather for many years doing masonry and carpentry work. Ken excelled in rock and brick work. He liked working with his hands and having many tools for future new creations.

Ken was artistic and creative. He loved special things around him in his home, especially paintings his Mother had done. They were most endearing to him.

He spent many years with his long time love, Madeline and their beloved dogs.

Ken loved nature- flowers, animals of all kinds, birds, and especially dogs - they gave him incredible joy.

He enjoyed Sci-Fi and Western movies, and football. He played baseball in past years.

Ken loved his family and friends and looked forward to their visits.

Finding new treasures at Antique shops or second hand shops was always fun for him.

At meal time Ken liked to say a heartfelt prayer to thank the Lord for his nourishment and asked to bless those he loved, his friends, and take care of the world.

Ken always had time for a smile and a joke, even in tough times - it was inspirational.

For the past 8 years he developed a close friendship and they shared laughs, talks, worries, good and bad times, learning new things , and confidences as she and he became best friends. He got to have her dogs around and it made him very happy. She will miss him immensely.

He lived life on his own terms and made no excuses for his passions.

For many years Ken faced challenging struggles, but now he is at peace, and share a meal with the Lord and thank him in person.

Ken is loved greatly and will be enormously missed.

He is survived by his Brother Darry Wadley and his Mother, Janet Folse.
