Luciano Benavidez

Luciano Benavidez peacefully passed away December 31, 2018 after a rich full life of 93 years to join the love of his life Antonia. He was born May 30, 1925 to Nestor and Agapita (Saiz) Benavidez of La Manga, NM who precede him in death along with siblings, Amadita, Faustin, Jesus Maria, Antonio, Ramoncita, Rafaelita; great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Atiana. He leaves to cherish his memory; his children, Luciano Jr., Joe (Betty), Joanna (Ken Scofield), Helen, Leandro (Jane) Benavidez, Chonita (Ruben) Ramos; 9 grandchildren, Jeanne, Jerry Jr. , Nicole, Adrianna, Nicholas, Joshua, Vincent, Jessica, and Michael; 7 great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Jeremiah, Alyssa, Angelica, Antonio, Annalise, Joseph; and sister-in-law, Esther Lucero. Luciano was a devout Catholic and a man of strong faith. He retired from the Pueblo Army Depot and Pueblo School District 60. Luciano was a member of St. Joseph Parish and Adoration Society for many years. He was married to the love of his life for 70 years and was a dedicated and loving father to his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and countless extended family members.
