R. Cameron Fonseca, 68, of Commerce City, CO. passed away July 5, 2018 born August 22, 1949 in Pueblo. Former resident of Avondale, Colorado. Preceded in death by his parents Henry and Isabel Fonseca also his father in law Dale Light. Survived by his loving wife Julie Fonseca; children, Brian (JoAnn) Fonseca and Norine (Gabe Sandoval) Fonseca all of Denver, CO.; siblings, Isabel Linan, John Fonseca, Joseph Fonseca and Henry (Juanita) Fonseca; sister in law, Elizabeth (Ken) Coleman; grandchildren, Desiree Padia, Leandra Moreno, Tiana Fonseca, Ciara Fonseca, Maceo Sandoval, Apollo Sandoval; great-grand children, Aaron Levin and Theodore Botkin; several nieces and nephews to include Matthew, Mary, Michael and Nicolas Coleman; his animals he loved, Poppy, Brother, Rosie and Gato.
Cameron was a Vietnam Veteran he served his country in the United States Army. He retired in 2009 with 32 years of service from Safeway Grocery. Cameron had just obtained his passport and he and Julie were going to start traveling the world. Cameron enjoyed watching his favorite television show, he was an avid fan of the Rockies and Broncos. He had a great sense of humor and liked to dress up on Halloween for his grand-kids. Cameron was somewhat of a home body since his illness. He loved spending time with his family, talking and sharing stories. Singing songs of the Beatles, Waylon Jennings and Elvis Presley. His nieces and nephews referred to him as their favorite uncle. He will be greatly missed by his wife, children and everyone who was fortunate to have known him.
Rosary 6pm Thursday Angelus Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial 11am Friday Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment Roselawn Cemetery. Military Honors by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. Family will receive friends at the church hall following the Burial Rites.
