Richard "Dick" Lynn Hoopes

Richard "Dick" Lynn Hoopes, 67, passed away on July 23, 2018. He was born on November 5, 1950 to the union of Lynn and Iris (Gangloff) Hoopes who both precede him in death along with his brother in law, John Collette. Dick retired from Rocky Mountain Drain in 2010. He was a gun enthusiast. Music was important in his life, he sang professionally, he loved being outdoors, gardening and hanging out with his buddies Steve, Lil John, Scotty and Ronnie. He was a jokester and had a great sense of humor. Dick lived his life to the fullest with everything that made him happy. He always hung out with his best friend Sarah. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; his wife, Karen (Collette) Hoopes; children, Eric (Tara) Hoopes, Ryan (Emily) Hoopes, JoAnna Hoopes, Sarah Hoopes; sisters, Lynn Bacon and Sandi (Don) Mitchell; mother and father in law, Al and JoAnna Collette; in laws, Pat (Ronda) Collette, Tim (Roe Ann) Collette, JoAnna (Scott) Yarberry, Therese (Jeff) Zupancic, Stephanie (Steve) Miller; grandchildren, Dylan, Chase and Charlotte Hoopes; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives. Rosary Thursday August 2, 2018, 6:30 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Funeral Service Friday August 3, 2018 10 am at First Free Methodist Church. Family will receive friends at Zaragoza Hall following service.
