Rosella Valdez

Rosella Valdez, 100, passed away December 13, 2018 peacefully with her family at her bedside. She was born Sept. 14, 1918 in Tiago, Colorado to the union of Felix and Bonafacia Ernestine Maez, both preceded her in death along with, her husband, Arthur Valdez; sons, Joe Valdez and Benjie Valdez; sister, Marylou Solano; brothers, Paul Lopez, Felix Maes, and Benji Maez . Rosella loved to crochet, she made blankets for everyone. She was an excellent cook, making fresh tortillas, empanadas and the best lemon meringue pie. She loved to go out to eat and spending time with her family, sharing stories with her five generations. Rosella is survived by her daughter, Nora Bachicha; son, Paul Valdez; sister, Martha J.E Martinez; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; several other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 1 p.m. Wednesday Angelus Chapel. Interment Roselawn Cemetery.
