Valoy D. Gallegos, 86, passed away peacefully August 29, 2019. He was born June 10 1933 in Cerro N.M, to proud parents Sam and Virginia (Vigil) Gallegos both precede him in death along with Lofio and Emilia Rael, \his wife Rachel (Rael) Gallegos, a son, Isaac Gallegos, granddaughter, Augustina Hernandez; siblings, Jerry, Belemino, Frances, Ruby, Gilbert, Nemecio, Albert, Rosanna, Orlando and Helen. Valoy served in the U.S Army, he was a Korean War Veteran, he retired from Martin Music and was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Valoy enjoyed fishing, gambling, taking trips back home to Cerro, N.M., and being with his family especially his grandchildren, who he loved dearly and were the best to him. Valoy is survived by his children, Eugenia (Troy) Miller, Gabe (Andrea) Gallegos, Greg (Suzy) Gallegos and Andrea (Chris) Hernandez; siblings, Cora, Sammy (Joann), Jennie, Phyllis (Arnold), Lucy, Abel (Virginia), Gloria and Edenina; 17 grandchildren, Avelina (Nestor), Patricio, Danielle (Corey), Orlando (Tausha), Geronimo (Chantell), Sarah, Justin, Crystal, Adam (Jalyn), Joshua (Michelle), Jason, Aaron (Becca), Cristiana (Jose), Isaac (Desiree), Desmond (Annette) and Stephanie; 25 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Rosary Saturday September 7, 2019, 10 a.m with Funeral Mass to follow both at Sacred Heart Church, Avondale. Interment St. Vrain Cemetery with Military Honors by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.
