Allen Ray Luellen Sr. “Big Al”, 66 passed away on April 8, 2022. He was born December 26, 1955, in San Diego, CA. to parents Verne Luellen and Geraldine Boone. His mother Geraldine precedes him in death along with his wife Dianne Luellen Manzanares, son Jerod Luellen (Renee Castro), and father and mother-in-law Jose and Clara Manzanares.
Allen worked for over 30 years as a dedicated truck driver. He traveled to almost every state in the U.S. and Canada. He was a very wonderful Father to his four children Allen, Jayme, Lyndsey, and Jerod Luellen. His happiest moments were taking his children with him on the road, like the time he took Allen to Disneyworld in Florida, and when he and Jerod went to see the Olympics in Salt Lake City. He even had the privilege to work with his son Jayme moving furniture. Allen was a very hard worker who loved to spoil his kids, especially his daughter Lyndsey. Allen made sure that every Christmas was magical for his family. He was also a Very proud Grandfather to his nine Grandchildren, Demetrio, Jeremiah, Jacob, Hannah, Erica, Isaac, Andres, Aracely, and Esperanza. Allen loved spending time with his grandkids and taking them to the movies and shows. They were the light in his life, and he loved them all so much. Allen enjoyed life and the outdoors like going camping, fishing, and attending family reunions. He had a heart of gold who loved his family and friends, particularly a good friend he knew since the 3rd Grade, Bud Stamp. Allen was well known around Pueblo as a kind person that liked helping people. He often helped the homeless who he lovingly referred to as his “homies’’.
