Angela Stella Montez, 47, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026. Born on November 4, 1978, in Walsenburg, Angela was the beloved daughter of Joseph Montez and Ruth Vallejos.

Angela is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Montez; grandparents, Eleanor Vallejos, Alfred Vallejos, and Sophie Montez; uncles, Alvin Vallejos and Jim Montez; aunt, Louise Montez; niece, Nevaeh Cruz; and cousins, Nadia Montez and Boo Boo Montez.

Left to cherish her beautiful memory are her loving mother, Ruth Vallejos; devoted husband, Daniel Martinez; daughter, Nadia Renegar; sons, Aziz Dazzo and Nicholas Dazzo; treasured granddaughters, Harleen and Nezi; siblings, Alaina (Jonathan) Ortiz, Samuel Vallejos, and Michael Montez; in-laws, George and Julie Martinez; nieces, Nashia Vallejos, Elizabeth (Kenny) Rodriguez, and Aiyana and Raelynn Valdez; great-nephew, Michael Groen; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and countless friends who loved her dearly.

Angela was a beautiful soul with a heart full of love, kindness, and compassion. She found happiness in life’s simple moments; listening to music, planting flowers, watching movies, and expressing her creativity through coloring and art. She had a special gift for making things beautiful, whether it was a garden blooming under her care or the warmth she brought into the lives of others.

She was known for her unique style, vibrant personality, and unforgettable presence. Angela could light up any room with her smile and laughter. She never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel comfortable, valued, and loved. No matter who you were, she could always find something in common and make you feel like family.

Above all else, Angela loved deeply. Her family meant everything to her, and she dedicated her life to caring for those around her. She was selfless, always willing to lend a helping hand, offer comforting words, or simply be there when someone needed her most.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
