Angelina “Angie” V Duran, 88, peacefully passed away in Pueblo on November 29, 2023.

Angie is survived by her husband of 66 years, Alfred Duran; children, Patrick Duran, Liz Duran, Michael (Jody) Duran, Carly Kingery, Darla (Scott) Sexton, Montana Cole and Erik (Mindy) Duran. She is survived by grandchildren; Jason (Angela), Taylor (Ti) and Kelsey Duran, Hannah-Jayne Duran, Jacob and NikkiKingery, Chad (Angela), Megan and Chase Sexton, and Sarah (Tyler) Shomaker. Special grandchildren include Jennifer Harvey, Steven, Doug and Mimi Lundgren and 8 great-grandchildren. Angie is also survived by brothers, Raul (Gisela) Flores, Ralph Flores and Leonard (Gerri) Flores, Jr; sisters, Beatrice Cordova, Rose Marie Prewett, Connie Fretz and Mary Lou Vendetti.

Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Delfina Flores; her son, Christopher Duran; her sister, Henrietta Cordero; and son-in-law, Robert Kingery, Jr.

She was “Auntie Angie” to 84 nieces and nephews: be comforted to know she knew you all by name. Born in Pueblo, Colorado, she was a 1952 Central High School graduate. As a young woman she was a member of The Altristas Sorority and a founding member of The Cameo Club. She held many administrative positions at St. Mary-Corwin, Pueblo Army Depot, District 60, Pueblo Memorial Airport and retired from The Transportation Technology Center, Inc. (TTCI). Angie’s special interests and many years of faith-filled volunteer work included attending daily Mass, serving on multiple church committees throughout the years at Christ the King, Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, St. Mary’s and The Shrine of Saint Therese. As a true advocate for Catholic education, she worked hard to help start up St. Therese Catholic School. Her unwavering support of the school was deeply appreciated by all who knew her. Further commitments to her faith included Nocturnal Adoration Society, Perpetual Adoration, Sacristan/Lector/Eucharistic Minister/Photographer in multiple parishes, member of the Council of Catholic Women and many more. Her love and dedication to her husband and family was immense and always supportive. She will be forever missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In “celebration” of her returning to our heavenly Father, she requested that colorful clothing be worn.
