Antonia M. Cordova, 88, passed away January 28, 2026. She was born January 23, 1938 in Boone, CO to Domenick and Mary (Baca) Cassares, both precede her in death along with her loving husband, Delfin N. Cordova; brother, Lawrence Cassares; brother- in-law, Mark Velasquez and sister-in-law, Nora Lee Cassares.
Antonia was a proud Central High graduate Class of 1955. She was a member of the Camo Club, the Eagles, and the St. Charles Mesa Club. Antonia was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member of CCW. She worked over 18 years for Pueblo County DHS in Child Welfare. Antonia enjoyed going to the movies and dinner with her friends. Mariachi music and visiting New Mexico were some of her favorites. She often spoke fondly of her treasured trip to Europe with her beloved Del, a memory she held close to her heart. Above all else, Antonia cherished her family. They were the center of her world, and the time spent with them meant everything to her. She shared a deep and loving bond with her grandchildren and took great joy in staying closely connected with each of them.
Antonia leaves to cherish her memory; her children, Michael Cordova (Lauri VerShure), Tina (Scott) Gage, and Carrie Cordova; grandchildren, Raeanna (Tomas) Mendoza, David (Ashley) Wilson, Vanessa Pacheco (Raul Fernandez), Domenick Cordova, Ineke Cordova; beloved great and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Samuel Cassares, Lupe Velasquez, and Joe Cassares; many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Funeral Mass 10a.m. Wed. Feb. 4, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Inurnment, Roselawn Cemetery.
