It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Antonio “Tony” Trujillo on October 21, 2025, at the age of 86. Born in Delta, Colorado, on May 27, 1939, Tony lived a life defined by service, adventure, and love.
Tony proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed overseas and developed a lifelong love of travel and exploration. After his military service, he began a distinguished 31-year career with the Pueblo Police Department, retiring as a Sergeant. During his time with the department, Tony served in multiple divisions and was also part of the Underwater Dive Team, using his diving skills to assist in critical recovery operations and public safety missions. Those who worked alongside him will remember his calm demeanor, quick wit, and steady leadership.
Outside of his uniform, Tony continued to live life to the fullest. He was an avid golfer, a fierce racquetball player, and loved spending time outdoors. Whether on the course, in the gym, or traveling with Nona, Tony embraced each day with enthusiasm and gratitude.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Nona (Wilson) Trujillo; his stepson, Robert Flores; his sister, Marie Valencia; his brother, Bill (Linda) Trujillo; and numerous nieces and nephews—including two special nieces, Cris and Valerie—as well as many dear friends and extended family who will miss him deeply.
Per Tony’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no formal service at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, closer to his birthday.
Tony will be remembered for his humor, his heart, and his unwavering dedication to family, friends, and community. He lived his life in service and with gratitude and a smile.
