Benita Lou Diaz, 61, passed away May 9, 2024. She was born Sept. 30, 1962 in Denver, Colorado to parents, Louie and Audilia (Baca) Lovato. She is preceded in death by her father, Louie Lovato, along with her brother-in-law, Ray Diaz.
Benita worked in healthcare; she was a CNA with Interim for 15 years. She enjoyed gambling, music, and was a true Bronco lover. Benita was the matriarch of her family. You could always tell her anything without any judgement but always a solution or answer. Benita loved sharing her life stories, lessons, words of wisdom but most of all her love with each of her family members.
Benita is survived by her daughters, Jonita Diaz and Shuree Diaz; granddaughter, Imajin Woodson; husband, Joe Diaz; mother, Audilia Lovato; nieces, Cathina Garcia, Shantel Romisch, and Sonya Diaz; nephews, Dominick Lovato and Jimiray Diaz; sister, Peggy Lovato; brother, Louie Lovato; godchildren, Sonya Diaz, Celestina Donez-Zavala, and Selina Mona Castro.
Celebration of Life, 4 pm, Fri., May 24, 2024 at Angelus Chapel.
