Benny Alex Lavato

Benny Alex Lavato passed unexpectedly on December 29, 2024.  Benny was born in Pueblo on September 16, 1971.  He was preceded in death by his mother Rachel Lavato and father Benny Valdez.  Benny led a very challenging life having been institutionalized at a very young age.  Three years ago, he was welcomed with open arms by the Williams family.  Julius, Tyrell, Shivonne, Domica, Sophie along with Anthony Washington provided him with wonderful care and supports in the community.  Benny enjoyed sporting events, Disney on Ice, watching movies and going out to eat.  He spent his last Christmas with the Williams family and received many gifts.

Benny is also survived by his legal guardian, The Arc of Pueblo, residential agency Spectrum and The Resource Exchange.  Special thanks also go to the Colorado Mental Health Institute in Pueblo and the Pueblo Regional Center who provided support for Benny for many years.  We will miss his infectious smile and laughter.  Services will be held on Friday January 17, 2025, at 11 am.  Angelus Chapel 1102 E Evans Pueblo CO.  Guests are invited to attend a luncheon at The Arc of Pueblo 2705 Vinewood Lane immediately after the service
