Bernadette L. Santistevan, 77, a lifetime Puebloan, passed away Aug. 1, 2024 peacefully surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Chavez; brother, Joseph Chavez; grandmother, Reynalda Morales.
Bernadette graduated from Central High School in 1964. In 1982, She graduated with a nursing degree while raising 5 children. She worked in many hospital/home-health settings. Bernadette was a lover of many things. She crocheted and enjoyed craft fairs. She loved spending time with her family, shopping, and traveling. She saw many different parts of the world, but traveling to Cripple Creek was one of her favorites.
Bernadette's legacy will be carried forward by the love and memories shared by her extensive family. Her life was marked by her devotion to her loved ones and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.
