Captain Eric Adam Bravo, 61, passed away on July 31, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Marlene; parents Tony and Shirley Bravo; siblings Mark (Colleen), Dutch, Bob (Sherrie), Jon, Aaron (Barbara), and Melanie (Greg); Aunt Geraldine Bravo and Uncle Richard Bravo; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
A native of Pueblo, Colorado, he was born on May 20, 1962. Eric was the fourth son of Tony and Shirley Bravo.
Eric was a retired Captain of the Pueblo Police Department. His career in law enforcement began at the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office in 1987. In 1989, Eric was hired by the Pueblo Police Department. He served many roles during his years at the PPD, to include Patrol Officer, Detective, Sergeant, and Captain. Eric was also a graduate of the FBI National Academy. In all, he dedicated 34 years of his life “To Serve and Protect.”
Eric was well known throughout the city of Pueblo. He strived to make a difference in his community. Past involvement included support of the Special Olympics, as well as a Bantam Football League coach.
Eric had many interests. He was a lover of music, and enjoyed playing guitar in bands with his family and friends. He was also an avid hunter which allowed him to spend quality time with his brothers and his dog, Philo.
Above all, Eric possessed a deep passion for his family. He was dedicated to upholding the honor of his family name. He valued every minute he spent in the presence of those he loved.
Memorial Service, 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023, Praise Assembly Church. For those wanting to participate, the Pueblo Police Department will lead a procession to Praise Assembly departing at 10:10 am from the Dutch Clark Stadium parking lot.
