Carl Charles Italiano died Sunday 14 July 2024 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Lakewood, Ohio to Charles (Chick) Italiano and Mary Genevieve (nee Zicarelli) on 18 June 1941. Carl was pre-deceased by his parents, brother James, and son Carl Ralph.
Carl married Barbara Anne Thomson on 2 December 1961. He graduated from Cleveland State University with a Master in Business Administration. He dedicated his life to providing for his family by working conscientiously for decades at Beverage Distributors in Cleveland, Ohio. He enjoyed racing his 1957 Corvette and served as a charter member of the Cleveland Corvette Club. Carl proudly instructed both adults and children for the National Rifle Association. An avid and published photographer, his many reels of home movies, dozens of slide carousels, and thousands of analog and digital photographs will be enjoyed by his family and friends for years to come. However, Carl may be best remembered for his love of cooking top-secret Italian family recipes and baking Christmas cookies sent to loved ones in every corner of the United States.
He is survived by his wife Barbara and children Mary Teresa (Phillip Layman), (Holly Wilkins), Cynthia, Dominic, and grandchildren Alexandra, Antony, (Zachary Wilkins), and Phineas (Layman).
A Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 1132 W. Oro Grande Dr., Pueblo West, Colorado at 10 AM on Saturday 10 August 2024.
Mourners will process to inurnment at Roselawn Cemetary, 1706 Roselawn Rd., Pueblo, CO, followed by a reception at St. Paul the Apostle Church Hall.
Carl’s funeral is being arranged by Angelus Chapel Mortuaries, 1101 E. Evans Ave., Pueblo, CO.
