Carmilita J. Aveitia

Carmilita J. Aveitia, 49, passed away Aug. 29, 2023. She was born Feb. 7, 1974 in Rocky Ford, CO. to proud parents, Eddie Cordova and Ida Abeyta. She is preceded in death by her step-father, Danny Abeyta. Carmilita was a very hard worker, always wanting to provide for her family. She was an excellent cook, you never left her home without eating. She enjoyed listening and dancing to her favorite music, helping anyone in need, cruising and taking long rides. She was talented in sewing outfits out of gunny sacks. Carmilita was an excellent mother; she loved her kids and everyone else’s. She was truly family oriented, loved having family gatherings, sharing her love and time with each of them. She will be missed by everyone that loved her. Carmilita is survived by her spouse, Fred Maisel; parents, Eddie (Sharon) Cordova and Ida (Danny) Abeyta; children, Jesse (Jessica) Davila, Santiago Aveitia, Emilio Aveitia, Adan Aveitia, Madissa Maisel, Fabian Maisel; step-children, Freddie Maisel IV, Aaliyah Maisel and Amiyah Maisel; 4 grandchildren; siblings, Eddie (Brandy) Cordova, Christine Arroyo, Christopher Cordova, Leroy (Monica) Cordova, Heather (Josh) Cordova; In-laws, Fred and Marylou Maisel, Angela Maisel; best friend, Geraldine Vigil; father of children, Adan Aveitia and many relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life, 10 am, Thurs. Sept. 7, 2023 at Angelus Chapel.
