Catherine Ortega

Catherine L. "Katie" Ortega, 58, passed away on Aug. 28th, 2021. She was born Sept. 17th, 1962, to Justo and Lorenza (Sanchez) Ortega both precede her in death along with siblings, Jenny Johnson, Leroy, Richard, Gilbert, and Billy Ortega.

Katie was a graduate of Centennial High. She worked hard as a flagger in the construction industry. She was known to love gambling. She especially enjoyed playing the slot machines and when she wasn’t playing the slots, she loved playing Candy Crush in her free time. Her favorite treats were popsicles. It didn’t matter if it was freezing outside, she would still eat and enjoy her popsicles.

Katie is survived by siblings, Mary Ann (Richard) Stickler, Justo Jr. Ortega, Mary Lou (Levi) Trujillo, Joseph, Rosie, Johnny and Lee Ortega and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends who loved and will miss her dearly.
