Cecilia Jaramillo

Cecilia Jaramillo, 84, of Pueblo, Colorado, died May 22, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, surrounded by family after a long illness.  
 

Cecilia was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, February 10, 1936 to parents Severo & Julia P. Martinez.  She graduated from St. Michael's High School in Santa Fe, New Mexico and received an ADN from Southern Colorado State College in Pueblo, Colorado.  She retired from the Colorado State Hospital as a RN in 1995.
 

She enjoyed spending time with friends, especially Frances Martinez & sister-in-law Nellie Jaramillo, her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Her hobbies included driving to the mountains, gardening, taking care of her pets 
& neighborhood stray cats, and crocheting hundreds of blankets for family, friends and charity.  She was a 24 year breast cancer survivor.  Her motto for life was "I'm lost, but I'm making good time."

She is preceded in death by parents Severo & Julia P. Martinez, brother Alfonso Martinez, sister Marky Rodriguez and son Angelo Jaramillo.  

She is survived by children Francella (Gilbert) Vigil and Tania Sanchez; grandchildren Cristine (Patrick) Wait, Dominic (Lindsey) Vigil, Jason Sanchez and Miranda (Rob) Sanchez; and great grandchildren Elicia, Xavia & Sabrina.  Viewing for close friends and family will be held Wednesday, June 3, 1-3 pm at Angelus Chapel, Pueblo, CO.  Private funeral and burial will be held Thursday, June 4.  She loved flowers, which can be sent to Angelus Chapel in Pueblo, CO.
