Obituary

Charles was a loving father to two girls, Ariel and Hayden Widup; who he loved with all of his heart. He is survived by his mother Judy Widup, his father Charles A. Widup (Rose) as well as his siblings, Rudy Martinez and Melissa Martinez. In addition, his nephews Khayman (Stephanie) Martinez, Matthew Gallegos and niece, Cheyenne Martinez.

Charlie graduated from Centennial High School, Class 2005. He went on to graduate from the PCC Fire Academy in December 2012 and became a Wildland Firefighter. Charlie’s passion was fishing and camping and enjoying the outdoors with his family. He loved fishing the river. Charlie also liked to ride his motorcycle with his friends. He loved animals and volunteered at the Pueblo Humane Society. Everyone who met him loved him. He was quick to joke and laugh. He was down to earth, humble and lived with empathy. He loved to give to the homeless and would help anyone. His smile was infectious and would light up a room. He will truly be missed and never forgotten. He will always be in our hearts.
