Charlotte Dedmon, born September 8, 1943, in Pueblo, passed away on May 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and the many lives she touched throughout her years.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Olive Pizzuti; her beloved husband, Donnie Dedmon, who passed away from cancer at the age of 51; her sister, Donna Kaufmann; and her brothers, Jack Mason, Dannie Mason, and Nick Pizzuti. Together Charlotte and Donnie built a life rooted in hard work and family while raising pigs and chickens in Ordway.
Charlotte dedicated much of her life to caring for others through her work in healthcare. She worked in the lab at the Colorado State Hospital for 14 years and later worked at Southern Colorado Clinic as well as CMHIP. After an incredible 39 years of service, she retired from the State of Colorado. Even after retirement, her passion for helping people continued as she spent another 10 years working at Family Medicine alongside her daughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Cherie Parker (51) and son-in-law Adam Parker; her son, Tom Pizzuti (60); her sister, Kathy Shisler and husband Lou Shisler; her grandchildren, Samantha Posa (34) and husband Ed Posa Jr. (34), and Dante Parker (28); her treasured great-grandchildren, Dominick Posa (13) and Gino Posa (10); as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Charlotte found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved flowers, especially yellow roses, and enjoyed trips to Cripple Creek to gamble and have fun. Above all else, she loved her family fiercely. She never missed a dance recital for Samantha and Dante and later proudly attended every sporting event she could for her great-grandchildren, right up until the very end.
Charlotte will be remembered as a deeply giving woman who cared for people with her whole heart. She was honest and blunt when she needed to be, but always loving. Her strength, devotion, and unwavering support for her family will never be forgotten.
