Chrystina L. Medina Montelongo

Chrystina L. Medina Montelongo, 59, passed away April 14, 2025. She was born February 24, 1966 in California to parents, Guadalupe and Margaret (Cossey) Ponce. Both precede her in death along with her in-laws, Albert and Ruby Montelongo; son, Emilio Montelongo and brother, Ronnie Gray.

Chrystina accomplished a master’s degree in education and also held a principal’s license. She loved teaching and working with her students. Chrystina was very involved with her boys’ sports. She loved life! Most of all she loved her family and always put them first.

Chrystina is survived by her husband, Albert J. Montelongo; her 7 children, Javier (Katie) Medina, Vincente Montelongo, Thomas Montelongo, Miguel Martinez, Tifiney (Gil) Hernandez, Salvador Martinez and Raul Martinez; 5 step-sons, Joey Martin, A.J. Montelongo, Brian (Crystal) Montelongo, Darryl Montelongo and Ray Smith; 22 grandchildren; brother, Rodney Bowden, sister, Hollyanne Hanshew, sister-in-law, Diane Montelongo; and brothers-in-law, Ed Montelongo and Steve Montelongo.

Funeral Service, 11 am, Fri., April 25, 2025 at The Angelus Chapel.
