Conrad Anthony Mejia, 70, passed away at his home on April 21, 2021. He was born October 7, 1950, in Pueblo, CO. Conrad was preceded in death by his father, Tony Mejia, and brother-in-law, Mike Pearson, as well as grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his mother, Martha Mejia; his children Michelle Garcia and children, and Saul (Misty) Mejia and children; sisters, Cass Pearson and son; Patsy (Richard) Chinn and daughters, his friend since childhood Fred Granato as well as friends and extended family. Conrad graduated from Central High School in 1968. He served in the Air Force as a Vietnamese Linguist/Radio Operator during the Vietnam War, where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal w/8 olc, Good Conduct Medal and Enlisted Wings. He flew 365 combat missions over South Vietnam, North Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. He completed Language school (North Vietnamese), Jungle Survival, Global Survival and Jump School. He worked for Sears in the Pueblo store and then managed the hardware department at Sears, Roebuck & Co. in Cheyenne, WY. when Sears opened a new store. Music was his passion. He loved to sing and taught himself to play many instruments. Frank Sinatra was his favorite. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
