Darlene Crawford, 94, passed away April 2, 2026. She was born on December 21, 1931 to Wade Lee Jordan and Lonzetta Ardell Courtney in Denver, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her grandson Taran Crawford.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Eric Crawford, ex-daughter in law, Belinda Crawford and step-granddaughter, Simone Smith.
She met Keith Crawford while she was in nursing school and they were married and eventually divorced. She graduated nursing school, becoming a registered nurse. She became a traveling nurse, which took her to Connecticut, New Jersey, Denver, to name a few, and eventually to Arizona. Where is retired from nursing. She moved back to Colorado after retirement. This time to Pueblo to care for her mother.
Darlene’s passion was in the Arts. She started in the 60’s and 70’s with photography, using her Hasselblad camera. Taking nature photos. She eventually moved on to painting, sketching and drawing, on paper and canvas. Her attention to detail was key to her exceptional skill in still life paintings and portraits. As the popularity of her art spread, people requested to purchase her artwork. Others would ask to display it at various functions.
Her artistry is the best description of how she was in life.
