Darryl Christopher Herrera

Darryl Christopher Herrera, 60, of Pueblo Colorado unexpectedly passed on April 29, 2023. Darryl is survived by his children Brittany, Gabrielle & Darryl Jr; brother, Jason; parents, Neola and Rudy; grandchildren, Emiliana, Laela & Giovani; Goddaughters, Aaliyah & Mia; multiple nieces & nephews and his beloved dog Brutus. Darryl is preceded in death by grandparents, Richard & Faye Lucero and Joe & Frances Herrera.

As a lifelong Puebloan, Darryl was born on October 12, 1962. He loved his southside community he affectionately called the hood. His life's work was spent shaping the community for 30 years working in construction and commercial drywall. He always spoke passionately about the dozens of buildings he was a part of creating. He was a loyal and dedicated man with a keen sense of detail and taking his time - Darryl poured his heart into everything he did. He had many passions throughout his life including music, playing the drums, basketball, fishing, and cycling. He loved sports and was a die-hard Raider and Denver Nugget fan. Most of all Darryl had a genuine heart of gold, his children were his world. Darryl left us so soon, but his spirit will forever be with us. He is resting & at peace and for him we are forever grateful.

Celebration of Life Mass, 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, Sacred Heart Cathedral.
