DeVontae Alexander Morris

DeVontae Alexander Morris, 35, passed away Nov. 14, 2025. He was born August 29, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nevada to parents, Michael D. and Sonja (Cornell) Morris. Preceded in death by his father, Michael D. Morris along with his grandparents, Lindberg & Ester Cornell, Oscar & Roda Morris; uncle, Kelton Turner; and aunt, Tam Cornell.

DeVontae was very loving, enjoyed being around children, and watching TV. He loved water, the sound of it and the lakes were very peaceful to him. DeVonte was a big fan of SpongeBob. He was truly a people person, he loved to be around crowds, big or small. He had a contagious laugh and the biggest smile. Most of all he loved music, Gospel, Country, Symphony or Jazz. It didn’t matter what kind of music, he was always bouncing his leg and keeping the beat.

DeVontae is survived by his mother, Sonja Cornell; brother, Michael D. (Ashley) Morris II; niece & nephews, Miamor, Charles, Endica, Charles II, and Em.; aunts & uncles, Charles Turner, Rochelle (Keith) Kerr; Steve (Shenee) Turner, Karla Turner, Juan Cornell, Donna Cornell, and Marceline Tidwell; and a host of other relatives and friends who loved and will miss DeVontae.

At his request cremation, no formal services.
