Delores Jean Buckner, 64, passed away Dec. 11, 2024. She was born Dec. 14, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to parents, Steve and Hattie (Dodd) Watson. Both precede her in death along with siblings, Sherle Lynn Watson, Jeannie Mae Reliford, and Carl D. Watson.
Delores was a resident here in Pueblo for many years, traveling between Colorado and Texas. She loved kids, working in the school system as a cook in Texas. She was a mother to all, bringing them into her home, she was a true caretaker. Delores was the life of the party; her personality was out of this world. She was so loving and giving, helping in any way she could. Delores loved her church family at Southwest Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing cards, Spades, and Dominoes. She was an avid Bronco fan; win or lose she was cheering them on. Judge Judy was one of her favorite TV shows.
Delores is survived by her children, Levon Butcher and Aurelia Williams; her siblings, Alice (Arnold) Thomas, Janet Watson, Stevetta Crump, Stenetta (Dante) Whitacker Sr, Tommie (John) Hardy Jr., Stevie Watson Jr., Eldoris Watson, and Edward Watson; and former husband, Winfred Leon Butcher; 6 grandchildren to include DéVontrell, Déshawn and Ashidah who she raised; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved and will miss Delores.
At her request cremation, no formal services at this time.
