Dorothy E. (Esquivel) Sanchez

Dorothy E. (Esquivel) Sanchez, 85, passed away Aug, 30, 2024. She was born Sept. 18, 1938 to Nick H. and Augustina (Nunez) Esquivel both who precede her in death along with sister, Theresa Valdez; and in-laws, Melquiadez and Emelina Sanchez.

Dorothy was a Central High School graduate class of 1956. She and her husband J. Arthur Sanchez were proud to be the 1st couple to be married at St. Joseph Church. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church, where she was a member of the choir. Dorothy had a very strong faith; she always prayed the rosary. Dorothy was a teachers aide at Washington School. She retired from District #60 with 18 years of service as a para professional, spending 17 of her years at Corwin Middle School she was proficient in 3 languages. She shared her love and talent with so many students. Dorothy had a beautiful heart, always wanting to help anyone in need.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory; her loving husband J. Arthur Sanchez; daughters, Sandra Sanchez (Bobby Valentine) and Shirley- Anne (Randy Lambkins) Sanchez; son, Kenny (Sandy) Sanchez; grandson, Lucas Alexander Sanchez; sister-in-law, Nellie Pacheco; aunts, Jennie Nunez, Dolores Quintana, Lorraine Ortega; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many former students.

Rosary 10 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10:30 am, Wed., Sept. 18, 2024 both at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
