Douglas Arlen Wobst affectionately known as “Doug”, 69, passed away July 22, 2024. A lifetime Puebloan he was born August 13, 1954 to parents, Richard and Rilene (VanDyne) Wobst who both precede him in death.
Doug was a proud South High School graduate, Class of 1972. He worked for Turner Brothers Trucking and also at the State Hospital as a licensed Psych Tech for the developmentally disabled then worked for 20 years at Evraz as a steelworker in the Tube Mill. Doug's favorite pastimes were playing pool , being outdoors fishing and hanging out with his friends. He also enjoyed his trips to Cripple Creek, Laughlin and Vegas. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife, they loved to travel.
Douglas is survived by his loving wife, Mary Wobst; siblings, Robbin (Joe) Gutierrez and Karen (Jeff) Anderson; children, Patrick, Erin (Robert), Michael and Caitlin; grandchildren, Brennan, Cierra, and Cody; special friends, Bonnie, Jodi, and Gabe Talmadge; and other family.
Funeral Service, 3 pm, Wed., July 31, 2024 at The Angelus Chapel.
