Dr. Samuel C. Riccillo, Ph.D., On February 15, 2021, we lost our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, & uncle Samuel Charles Riccillo. He was born on October 23, 1944 in Pueblo, Colorado. He was predeceased by brother, Louis (Cookie) Riccillo; mother, Josephine (Bellitti) Riccillo; father, Joseph Riccillo. He leaves behind his wife, Claudine (Vigil) Riccillo; daughter Michele (Riccillo) Coates and her husband James Coates; son, Joseph Riccillo and his wife Alexandra (Caldera) Riccillo; He also leaves behind grandchildren; Cameron Coates, Emily Coates, Samuel Riccillo, Dominic Riccillo, and Leonardo Riccillo; niece, Joanne Riccillo (Jason, Natalie and Owen); brother, Deacon Ed (Glenna) Riccillo; and many friends, loved ones and extended family members.
Sam was a force to be reckoned with. All who knew and loved him can speak to his humor, intelligence, and way with words. Sam was a man of science, a professor, and a man who put love of family above all else.
Visitation 2pm- 4 pm Sunday, Angelus Chapel
Mass 10a.m. Monday, February 22, 2021, St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mask required. Limited seating due to gathering restrictions.
A celebration of life is also planned for a future date.
