Edward R. Herrera

Edward R. Herrera 72 passed away June 11, 2025. He was born June 24, 1952 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to proud parents, George and Aurora (Griego) Herrera. Both precede him in death along with brothers, Alfonso, Henry and Ralph Herrera; brothers-in-law, Frank Romero and Victor Silva.

Edward enjoyed working on cars, he was the neighborhood mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting with his brothers. His biggest joy was animals, especially horses, taking care of and training them. Edward loved being with his family, celebrating all the different occasions, sharing life lessons, stories, words of wisdom to the young ones and of course having a cold one, a good cocktail was good for the soul.

Edward is survived by his children, Rayanne (Mike) Robles and Steve Esquibel; brothers and sisters, Martin Herrera, Tony (Rosemary) Herrera, Martha Romero, Anita Romero, and Juanita (John) Bird; sister-in-law, Bettyann Herrera; 2 grandchildren, Syria Valdez and Raelynn Varela; 4 great grandchildren, Eimiah, Jonathan, Elias and Analeya; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.

Funeral service 3 pm Wed., June 18, 2025 at Angelus Chapel.
