Edward Pacheco Obituary

Edward Paul Pacheco, affectionately known as “Uncle Ed”, 69, passed away February 25, 2025 and joins his heavenly family. A proud lifetime Puebloan, Ed born June 2, 1955 was the 12th child born to his parents, Joe E. and Maxine (Medina) Pacheco, both precede him in death along with his siblings, Beatrice Pacheco, Charles Edward Pacheco, Fermin Pacheco, Marie Huston, Martha Pacheco, Gene Pacheco and Tony Pacheco.

Ed was a graduate of South High Class of 1973. He then went on to proudly serve 2 years in the U.S. Marine Corp., where he received the Good Conduct medal along with a National Defense Service Medal. During his working years, Ed was employed at the CF & I and at Fort Carson as a small engines mechanic and groundsman. He was a devout Catholic and lifetime member of Holy Family Church, attending Mass faithfully. Ed was an avid all around sports fan. He enjoyed sitting on his porch basking in the evening sun listening to the soothing sound from his chimes overhead, often visiting with friends and neighbors that happened by. He was an intelligent man that knew about a lot of things and enjoyed sharing his knowledge, (as long as he wasn’t interrupted.) Ed loved music, singing and “getting down” playing the air guitar! He was the life of the party and lit up the room. He was an honest, kind, gentle, humble and sensitive man who was always willing to help others. He was very jovial, loved kids, and family pets. Most of all Ed enjoyed being with his family.

Ed is survived by his siblings, Frank (Celina) Pacheco, Theresa (Mike) Hernandez, Charlotte Pacheco, Betty (Tom) Autobee, Ted (Naomi) Pacheco and Millie (Steven) Pacheco-Kinnett; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and shared a special bond with his nephew, Travis. Ed was respected and loved. He will wholeheartedly be missed by all his family and friends. Cherished memories will remain in our hearts and minds. The family recognizes and extends gratitude to our friend and neighbor, Felix Vigil, for all of his help and watchful eyes.
